All members, tenants and guests (when accompanied by a member) are invited to browse titles and borrow books from our library. There are currently over 4000 books and other materials in this collection, all of which have been donated. The library is located just inside the main Clubhouse entrance (first room on the left).
Availability: The library is available only when the Clubhouse is open. This room also doubles as a card room most afternoons; however, the door remains open so those wanting to borrow books can do so.
Organization of Books: There are both fiction and non-fiction book sections and some magazine selections. The books are organized by the following genres: mystery, life stories, adventure, crime, biography, law and legal, politics, history, historical fiction, humor, sports, garden and home, local interests, nature, travel, games, and also miscellaneous to include other books that don’t fit into our categories.
Borrow Books/Materials: List the titles you borrow in the library binder along with your name, Foxfire number and checkout date. When you return a book, please file it on a shelf in the appropriate genre and note the date returned by your name in the binder.
Book Donations: All book donations are catalogued, labeled and shelved by genres. As we do not want multiple copies of the same titles due to space limitations, books should not be dropped off in the library. If you have a book(s) to donate, please contact Barbara Brott at 239-643-1774 (email
[email protected]).
Book Discussion Group Books: A separate smaller white book shelf in the library houses the current year’s Book Discussion Group selections. If you borrow these books, please return them to the small white shelf so others can easily find them.
