Hole #1 - Red 1

Par 4

A medium-length par 4. Favor the left side with your tee shot and that will give you a mid-to-short iron onto a slightly elevated green. The green is subtly sloped with a bunker protecting the right side. Two good shots will give you a birdie opportunity.

Hole #2 - Red 2

Par 3

A challenging par 3 with water along the left side of the hole. The green is elevated and any shot not landing on the green has a chance to bounce left into the water; a short right will roll into a collection area and long right will end up in a deep bunker. All will lead to a challenging up and down. Making par on this hole is a good score.

Hole #3 - Red 3

Par 5

One of the most challenging holes at Foxfire. A long dogleg left with water running down the entire left side. A solid tee shot is necessary to set up your layup into a narrow part of the fairway. If big hitters choose to bite off some of the dogleg, it will lead to a bigger landing area and a wedge onto the green. The green is relatively flat which gives you a good chance to hole a birdie putt or save your par.

Hole #4 - Red 4

Par 4

A short dogleg left that gives you plenty of options off the tee. Big hitters may choose to hit it over the edge of a group of trees and get it close to the green, while most players will have a short-to-medium iron onto the green with a solid tee shot. Approach shots will be played onto a back-to-front sloping green protected by three bunkers on the left side of the green. Good tee shots should give you a birdie opportunity.p>

Hole 5

Hole #5 - Red 5

Par 5

A medium-length straightaway par 5. The left side of the hole is treelined from the tee to the green. The fairway is generous for many players with the exception of a bunker in the landing area. Big hitters may have a go at the green with their second shot while most will try to lay up to the 100-yard marker. Third shots will have to navigate a large bunker on the left and some mounding on the right to stay on the putting surface. It is a large green with numerous subtle breaks, which makes for challenging birdie or par putts.

Hole #6 - Red 6

Par 4

This hole is a short, straightaway par 4 and a solid tee shot will leave you with a short iron into an elevated green. A wide-but-shallow green is protected in front by two deep bunkers. Approach shots need to land on the green or they could bounce in any direction, which leads to a challenging up and down.

Par 3

This is the longest par 3 at Foxfire and it calls for a long iron or hybrid to reach a well-protected green. It is a large green, framed by water on the right side and a large bunker on the left. There are plenty of pin-position options, which makes par a good score any day you play this hole.

Par 4

A short par 4 with a wide fairway. The fairway and green are protected on the right side by a water hazard. Short to mid-irons will be needed for approach shots. Avoid the bunker on the left and water on the right for a good look at birdie.

Par 4

A lot of options on the shortest par 4 at Foxfire. Big hitters may try to fly the water onto the green, while most players will choose to lay up short of the water that sneaks out into the fairway near the 100-yard marker. The sharply sloped green means few straight putts.

Hole #10 - Silver 1

Par 5

This is an interesting short par 5 with plenty of options. Big hitters will have a chance to knock it on in two. Most players will hit their tee shot into a landing area that is framed by water right and bunkers left. If you can avoid trouble on your layup, you’ll have a short pitch onto a well-guarded green.

Hole #11 - Silver 2

Par 3

This is a short-but-challenging par 3 with plenty of trouble for the unwary golfer. Shots to the right or short of the green will bring water into play and result in a trip to the drop area. A large bunker protects the left side of the green; so although it’s a short iron shot onto this green, you must be precise. Numerous humps and bumps on this green make for some challenging birdie putts.

Par 4

A par 4 with plenty of options off the tee. Big hitters may go right at the green, while shorter hitters will choose to layup to the right side of the fairway. Most approaches will be a short iron onto a slightly elevated green. The green is sloped from back to front with many challenging pin locations.

Par 4

A dogleg left with a water hazard protecting the left side of the hole makes for a perfect risk-reward situation. If you can carry the water hazard, you will have a makeable shot onto a back-to-front sloping green. Most players will lay up to the right side of the fairway and have a short iron onto the green. Avoid the water hazard and a birdie chance is likely.

Par 3

This is a challenging par 3 with water down the left side. The green is sloped towards the water and a shot that comes up short or left could be in trouble. Difficult pin placements can increase the risk. Par is a good score on this medium-length par 3.

Par 4

Your tee shot must go through a chute and then avoid fairway bunkers that frame the landing zone. Favor the right side and you will have a mid-iron shot to a slightly elevated green protected by a large bunker on the left. If you can navigate your way through the obstacles, then you have a good chance at par.

Par 4

A short dogleg right that looks simpler than it is. Your tee shot to a generous fairway is just the start. Short irons or wedges will be played onto one of the most challenging greens at Foxfire. The green is elevated and protected by a long, deep bunker on the right. Once you get to the putting surface, the real fun begins, as there are several slopes on the green and a putt from any distance demands your full attention.

Hole #17 - Silver 8

Par 4

Possibly the most difficult tee shot at Foxfire, with water protecting the left side and trees protecting the right. After your precise tee shot, the approach is just as daunting because you’ll need to carry water on the left and avoid deep bunkers and mounds on the right. Navigate all the elements on this hole and a score of par is well earned.

Par 5

A straightaway par 5 that big hitters can reach in two solid shots. Most players will turn this into a three-shot hole that gives them plenty of room to make aggressive swings. Some mounding in the fairway can lead to uneven lies, which makes the approach to the nicely sloped green challenging. A large bunker makes running shots onto the left side of the green unlikely. Three good shots and you can expect a good look at birdie.
